Continuing education to the Master’s (S2) is one of the things a must. The opportunity to continue higher education is not only for students who have just graduated, but parents who are already working can also continue it. Many people want to continue their education to a higher level, such as continuing their Master’s degree. However, some obstacles are commonly encountered, including cost and time. Especially for those who are already working, the problem of dividing their time between work and study is sometimes a problem.
On 20-22 December 2021, the Master of Education Management (S2 MP UAD) conducted socialization and promotion of study programs via Zoom with Muhammadiyah Regional Leaders (PDM) Bandung City, Kendal Regency, and Banyumas Regency. This activity is the study program’s effort to introduce Masters of MP UAD to the general public, including the implementation of lectures and scholarships for teachers/employees of Muhammadiyah Business Charity (AUM).
“The meeting is our effort to improve the quality of human resources. UAD as the one who offered to us through Mrs. Dian and Pak Suyatno, that UAD provides an opportunity for every teacher or employee who comes from the Muhammadiyah Business Charity to have the opportunity or further to take advantage of the facilities provided by UAD to all of us, “explained Hasan Arif as PDM Chair. Bandung.
Furthermore, Hasan Arif expressed his gratitude to UAD and encouraged teachers at Bandung City PDM to take advantage of this opportunity. It also hopes to improve the implementation of cooperation in terms of improving other human resources in the PDM Bandung environment.
We are very broad that we from the Management Study Program at Ahmad Dahlan University are also allowed to have a friendship but are still given vast opportunities to carry out various implementations of cooperation. At noon today, the focus is still on socializing the Master’s Degree Study Program and the scholarships provided by Ahmad Dahlan University to all teachers or employees working at Muhammadiyah throughout Indonesia,” explained Dr. Suyatno as the Head of the Master’s Degree Study Program for MP UAD responded to what Hasan Arif said.
Starting the socialization, Dr. Suyatno introduced UAD in general about the existing study programs and the various achievements achieved both at the national and international levels. That lectures were designed for three semesters, and during the pandemic, it was carried out online with flexible lecture hours to not interfere with teaching hours. Regarding tuition fees, the scholarships provided are in the form of a 50% tuition discount. Continuing education to Master’s is not just looking for a degree, but can also offer other benefits, both in education, social life, career, and everything.
Sodiq Purwanto, as the Chairman of PDM Kendal, said that PDM Kendal tried to socialize the UAD program even though it was not optimal. Last semester, one teacher had become an MP S2 student, namely Rohmanto, who hoped to be able to give an overview to his friends to share the atmosphere of the lectures that he had passed. It is expected that UAD will become more extensive, not only in quantity but also in quality.
“We thank UAD, especially the Postgraduate Education Management study program, for having full attention on us in Kendal to improve its human resources,” explained Sodiq Purwanto.
Ending his promotions in various PDMs, Dr. Suyatno convinced the teachers to maximize these existing opportunities. Especially online lectures during the pandemic, some scholarships slightly ease the burden on teachers.
