Prime Services for Educators and Teachers
Locating in Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 9 of Yogyakarta (28/5/2021), students of Teaching Management Master of FKIP of UAD (Universitas Ahmad Dahlan) implemented Public Empowerment Program (PRODAMAT). Educators and teachers of Muhammadiyah 9 Secondary School of Yogyakarta joined the activities of PRODAMAT using theme “Reinforcement of Prime Services for Educators and Teachers of Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 9 of Yogyakarta” with materializer of Dr. Dian Hidayati, MM. Group of PRODAMAT students consisted of Agum Budianto as Leader with his members, namely, Susamta, Nurul Hidayah, Najamudin Umar, and Zuul Fadhlil Adhiim.
The activities of PRODAMAT were classified into four sessions, namely, First Session describing materials about prime service concept, evaluating service level, reason to provide prime services, service quality dimension, indicator of prime services, and effective steps in providing the prime services.
Session 2, in this session, the participants practiced directly in providing the prime services (by role playing). This activity was very attractive because the participants involved directly and emotionally. One played a role as consumer protesting for disappointment in providing services. The other played a role as complaint responder or service provider of school. There were keywords that the complaint receiver had to do/present as positive response, namely, I understand, please forgive me, thank you. The three keywords must be pronounced when we provide services, even complaint of user.
Session 3, the third session was used to describe materials about Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) of prime services in the school. Informant presented materials containing basic law of SOP making, benefit of SOP, compilation principle of SOP, steps to make SOP, and format of SOP.
Session 4, in this fourth session, the training participants did discussion and teamwork to practice SOP making in accordance to specified SOP theme; for example, guest reception, collaboration services, PPDB services. After finishing, each of teams presented work result, namely, SOP. Training implementation of “Prime Service Reinforcement for Educators and Teachers of Junior High School of Muhammadiyah 9 of Yogyakarta” for one day from First Session to Fourth Session produced some SOP documents as output in this PRODAMAT activity.
PRODAMAT is activity that the students have to implement, as one of graduation requirements. The implemented activity aimed at empowering the public in both residential scope and school by inviting informant according to the implemented theme and competency.
